26 Oct 2002 -- One of the most famous and popular Japanese female singers, Yumi Matsutouya (aka Yuming) will release her 30th anniversary cover album on Dec 11th. The title is "Queen's Fellows - Yuming 30th anniversary cover album". Faye will participate in it, singing Yuming's song "Valentine's RADIO". 12 Oct 2002 -- Details are getting out from the record contract Faye signed with Sony. She will release 4 albums in 3 years, and the first album will be published next January. Another good news is that Faye will produce and choose songs all by her own free mind, Sony only got publishing right. I can't wait for her!

6 Oct 2002 -- Here are the latest news from the last two weeks about Faye.

• Faye will be performing in "30th anniversary of normalization of Sino-Japan" event on Oct 9 together with Ayumi Hamasaki, Da Pump, Sun Nan, Na Ying and others. The official NHK website is here. The show will be broadcasted on NHK on Oct 26 (Saturday) 9.30-11.48 and on Oct 27 (Sunday) 19.20-21.20, Japanese time. You can read the full program for the show here
• Faye signed a new record contract with SONY on Oct 2 in HK. The figure is said to be HK$ 60 millions (US$ 7,7 million) but nothing is said about the number of songs in the contract. Faye said in an interview after the signing show that her new album should be released in early 2003. She also said something like her music will be "influenced by the type of changes which she experienced and not according to what the general trends are". • Columbia Picture film "Hero" by Zhang Yi Mou with casts like Maggie Cheung, Tony Leung and Jet Li will invite Faye to sing the theme song for this movie.
• A Shanghai TV station stated that the box office for "Chinese Odyssey 2002" in China is RMB 23 million (US$ 2,8 million).
