22 Jun 2003 -- Faye was voted as one of the top 10 Chinese Cultural Icons of the 20th Century! Faye & Leslie Cheung were the only celebrities on the list. The little write up on her says this: "Faye has earned her deserved title of the queen of music and movies, even though she is often humble and quiet. She was born in Beijing. She was once the wife of China's most successful rock band's lead singer, Dou Wei. Many fans like her for her songs, and others for her performance in movies, but even more people like her for her carefree personality. Faye used her heavenly voice to create music. And it is because of this heavenly voice that she created countless miracles in album sales . Of all the female pop singers, Faye is the only one, whose achievements, and popularity status withstands the test of time."   Source: LaJaBor

The site also says the length of the film will be 2 hours, which should then be the uncut original film that's also planned to be released on DVD later this summer. Let's hope this means that HERO will be released in more European countries so we can hear Faye sing at least one song :) Click here for the HERO page from CineMovies.com
